For more than 50 years, we’ve relied on our team of dedicated professionals to turn our company into an ongoing success story. We’d like you to see exactly what it’s like here on a typical day. Whatever your career choice, you’ll see that your work can be creative, stimulating and rewarding.
A Day in the Life of a Claims Analyst
Your day typically begins promptly at 9 a.m. By the time you arrive at the office, you are already thinking about the files you have to follow up on. Your clients are counting on you to help them through the claims process. This is never an easy time for them and you’re happy to provide support and guidance. You also like the sense of responsibility that comes with the position.
In the course of your morning, you use your organization skills to follow up on calls to various suppliers who are providing services in a given case. You supervise the preparation of cheques to be sent to clients whose claims files are now complete. Your involvement ends only when the cheque is received by the client.
Throughout the process, you make sure to stay in touch with clients, as often as you feel is necessary. Right now, showing that you care makes a big difference. This is the time to reassure your clients that everything will be all right.
There’s never a dull moment. As cases are closed, new ones are transferred to you and you open new claims files. Each person who calls is unique, and the service you provide is tailored to his or her personality. You like to take the lead and call clients, which is an important part of making sales.
In your small and close-knit team, cases are often handled by more than one person, which provides seamless service to the client. You love to meet with your colleagues, compare cases and learn from others’ experience. This is also the time to catch up on cases being supervised by your co-workers.
To help you grow, professional development courses are scheduled on a regular basis and are a priority for you. After all, they keep you on top of the latest trends and techniques.
